Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To surely form an amorphous alloy coating film on the surface of an electrode by circulating a plating bath contg. an Fe family metal such as Fe, an active metal such as Cr, a salt of a metalloid such as P, an org. acid such as citric acid and a neutral salt for adjusting pH at a specified velocity. CONSTITUTION:A plating bath contg. one or more kinds of Fe family metals selected among Fe, Ni and Co, one or more kinds of active metals selected among Cr, W and Mo, salts of one or more kinds of metalloids selected among P, S, Si and C, an org. acid such as citric acid or tartaric acid and a neutral salt for adjusting pH such as ammonium sulfate is circulated at 0.1-1.5m/sec velocity. An amorphous alloy plating film of about 3mum thickness is formed on an electrode without leaching a harmful metal from the surface of the electrode and an electrode having a service life comparable to that of a conventional Pt electrode is obtd.
