CONVEYING ROLL FOR CORRECTING MEANDERING

PURPOSE:To correct meandering of a strip material with simple construction without generating any scratch on the strip material by specifying fluid injecting hole setting position to axial direction of a roll in the conveying roll of type injecting the fluid from the circumferential face. CONSTITUTION:Plural fluid injecting holes 3 are arranged along circumferential direction of barrel part 2 at both sides of axial direction on the barrel face of the conveying roll 1 having hollow part in the inner part. Then, the fluid is supplied into the barrel part 2 from a supplying source 4 through rotating connector 5 and penetrating hole in inner part of the shaft 6 and injected from the injecting holes 3. In this roll 1, distance to the roll axial direction between the injecting holes 3 at both sides is made to more than the width of the strip material 7 passed through or 1/5 of the strip width from end part of the material 7. In case the material 7 runs the center of the roll 1, the fluid from the injecting holes 3 is not hit to the material 7. If the material 1 meanders as the figure, the injecting holes 3 at shifting side is covered with the material 7 and the material 7 is floated up with the fluid pressure from this injecting holes 3 and the fluid is injected to the right side through the gap and the meandering of the material 7 is corrected with this reacting force.
