ANTIVIRAL AND IMMUNE STIMULATING DRUG AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To obtain an antiviral immunostimulant agent which contains an amino acid or its derivative and a polyunsaturated fatty acid and manifests synergistically increased actions. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) an amino acid which is detected in vivo (for example, lysine, ornithine or histidine), or amino acid derivative whose carboxyl group is substituted with a 1-4C alkyl group, amino group, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, or an ammonium cation or their salt or hydrate, (B) a 18-24C fatty acid bearing an alkyl group and at least two double bonds, preferably eicosapentaenoic acid or docosahexaenoic acid and (C) a carrier, additives or an antioxidant which are usually and selectively used in the pharmaceutical industry where the molar ratio of A/B is 1/4-4/1.
