Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance a chipping resistance for improving performance in all season by using a rubber composition with a styrene-butadiene copolymer, a hardness JIS-Hs after valcanized and the degree of toluene swelling respectively specified, for a tread portion. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire has a specified rubber composition used for the tread portion thereof. Then, the specified rubber composition is given the content of not less than 20 heavy weight portion of a styrene-butadiene copoly mer rubber which has a vinyl bonding amount of 15-45% and a bonded styrene amount of 5-20%. Also, the specified rubber composition has a hardness JIS-Hs after valcanized set to be 70 or less at -10 deg.C and therewith the degree of toluene swelling set to be 215% or more. That results in stepping up a chipping resistance of a pneumatic tire. Thus, the performance in all season can be long retained because of a small change in hardness due to a run.
