DEVICE FOR SIMULTANEOUS CUTTING INNER AND OUTER SURFACES OF POTTERY BASE

PURPOSE:To save labor power and improve the efficiency of cutting, by comprising the title device with a controller for number of revolution, an inner surface cutting mechanism, an outer surface cutting mechanism, and a control part for simultaneously controlling them. CONSTITUTION:Pottery base 50 extruded from a vacuum earth kneader or the like is set on a potter's wheel 1, the upper end of which is supported by a support shaft 3 and said potter's wheel 1 is rotated at a predetermined speed under control of a controller for number of revolution. In this state, the CPU 19 of a control part 40 sends a control signal via an amplifier 18 to an inner surface cutting mechanism 10 and an outer surface cutting mechanism 20 respectively and the inner and outer surfaces are simultaneously cut, while the cutting blade 17 of the inner surface cutting mechanism 10 and the cutting blade 29 of the outer surface cutting mechanism 20 are vertically and horizontally moved. Besides, the movement of each blade 17 and 19 is in advance inputted in the CPU 19 via a tape reader 30, and after the operation is started, the cutting in any desired shape is carried out without manpower.
