DIGITIZER

PURPOSE:To easily draw and display pictures by arranging the thin film conductors on a transparent plastic film in a grid form where these conductors are electrically insulated from each other and obtaining a coordinate position detecting part consisting of an X-Y axis orthogonal circuit. CONSTITUTION:The thin film conductors 2 and 3 are formed on the upper surface side and the rear surface side of a plastic film 1, respectively. These conductors are arranged in parallel with spaces secured among them on both sides of the film 1 so as to obtain an X-Y axis orthogonal circuit where the conductors 2 and 3 are regularly arranged in a grid form. Both conductors 2 and 3 must be adhered to the film 1 and this requirement is easily attained by a pattern printing or plating process, etc. Thus a coordinate position detecting part is obtained by arranging fixedly the conductors 2 and 3 on the film 1. For instance, the data on patterns, etc., are put under the position detecting part and then traced by a cursor or a stylus pen over said detecting part. Thus the pictures can be drawn and displayed in an extremely easy way.
