METHOD OF TAPING SHAFT-SHAPED ELECTRONIC PART

PURPOSE:To effect an automatic correction of taping to thereby eliminate the improperly taped condition, by cutting and removing a part of tape improperly holding a shaft-shaped electronic part, abutting the cut faces thereof and joining them with reinforcement tapes. CONSTITUTION:If any one of a series of shaft-shaped electronic parts 12 is brought in an improperly set position such as sloping in the taping line, the movement of a tape 2 is stopped so as to cut and remove tape 2c holding said part 12. The tape 2 behind alone is travelled and the cut faces 2d are placed together end to end. Both tapes 2 are thereafter joined by applying reinforcement tapes 5 to either or both sides of the abutted faces 2d of the tapes 2. The application of the reinforcement tape 5 to one side thereof alone can curtail the amount of said tape used and the application thereof to both sides thereof can improve the bonding strength.
