DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DOCUMENTATION OF KNOWLEDGE PROCESSING LANGUAGE

PURPOSE:To improve the readability of documentation without increasing the load of a frame designer by using the same document information to produce an explaining sentence via the inference processing for the information having the same slot value. CONSTITUTION:A knowledge base 1 stores the document information obtained by transforming only the common parts of the explaining sentences showing the meaning contents of plural slot-slot values into a syntax structure in the form of the slot value that can be specified by a slot name. An inferring part 3 carries out the inference processing based on the knowledge stored in the base 1. When a document request is received from an input part 2, the part 3 extracts the document information that is specified by a subject slot name out of a prescribed slot of a prescribed frame and substitutes the necessary knowledge for production of an explaining sentence. An output part 4 transmits the result of inference obtained at the part 3. Thus it is not required to describe and explaining sentence for each slot of each frame and therefore the load of a frame designer is never increased.
