SOUND SOURCE UNIT

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a memory device for storing the loop end point and loop start point of memory read addresses by providing a means for reading musical sound data again out of a previously given read loop start address when loop end data is read out. CONSTITUTION:This sound source unit stores a musical sound waveform in a waveform memory 3 and reads it out again repeatedly by the read means and specific loop end data which can be discriminated from musical sound data is stored in the read loop end address of the waveform memory 3. Then the means 2 reads the musical sound data again out of the previously given read loop start address when the loop end data is read out. Consequently, the need for the device for storing the loop end point and loop start point of memory read addresses is eliminated and the sound source unit is realized which minimizes the limitation to the musical sound waveform storage of the waveform memory 3.
