PACKAGE LIVE WIRE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To facilitate the replacement of a package without shutting off a power source of the package by a method wherein a power source and an input-output signal which are supplied from a cage to the package are connected respectively through different connectors, and the time that these two connectors are connected is staggered. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of connectors 3 and 5 and 4 and 6 whose contact makers are different from each other in length are used as connectors which connect a package 1 with a cage 2, whereby the connecting time of a power source is made longer than that of an input-output signal when the package 1 is replaced. By these processes, the package 1 can be live-wire-replaced without shutting off the power source of the cage in operation. And, only two kinds of connectors whose contact makers are different from each other in length are used, so that this system can be utilized at a low cost and moreover the replacement of a package can be facilitaed as a connecting section between the package 1 and the cage 1 is composed of a multi-pole connector.
