Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To enable the automatic control of the concn. of a medium with a simple structure by forming a vortical-outflow space which is arranged coaxially with the axial line of rotation and opens in the supply section of a passage to a specific shape and size and disposing an outlet section in a specific position. CONSTITUTION: The feedstock supplied via a feedstock supply section 15 is clarified in a centrifuge drum and the separated solids are gathered into a solid chamber 4. These solids are guided via the passage 3 into the vortical- outflow space 5. At this time, the vortical-outflow space 5 consists of two demarcating surfaces 6 perpendicular to the axial line 8 of rotation of the drum and an annular wall 7 coupling both demarcating surfaces. The dimension thereof in the radial direction of the space is several times the dimension in the transverse direction. The passage 3 exists in the demarcating section on the outer side and the outlet section 8 is arranged apart a spacing from the wall 7. The vortical resistance in the outlet section 9 depends on the viscosity of the solids and diminishes as the viscosity increases and, therefore, the solid concn. is automatically controlled.
