Then the collated data are stored in a memory 5 and at the same time displayed 3. A transaction of cards is processed after confirming that no fault exists, and the customer data stored in the memory 5 is transmitted to a HOSTCPU10 via a POS control part 2 and a data switching part 7 together with the data on departments, names of goods, amount, etc. of the transaction. This can reduce the load of the PIU6 and carry out the business work with high efficiency. Thus this system is suited to the POS of each counter at a department store, etc.
