Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To automatically raise and lower the ventilation hood upon burning on and off the range without using any special power source by connecting a heat-sensing means having a hydrogen occluding alloy to an actuator which vertically moves the ventilation hood. CONSTITUTION:For a heat-sensing means 12, hydrogen occluding alloy powder and copper powder are placed in the annular part of a cooker support, and a filter 14 and a shutoff valve 19 are attached to the hydrogen passage 13 welded to said annular part. The hydrogen occluding alloy is then allowed to adsorb hydrogen for its activation, and the hydrogen passage 3 is connected to an airtight chamber 26 of an actuator 9 enclosed by cylinder tube 21, bellows 22, cylinder end plates 22a, 22b and piston 23. When the gas burner is ignited, a solenoid valve 16 is closed to cut off the hydrogen passage 13 from a reservoir 17. Heated up to 100 deg.C, the hydrogen occluding alloy release hydrogen to increase the pressure in the airtight chamber 26, which lowers the piston rod 10 to lower the ventilation hood 2. Upon turning off the burner, the solenoid valve 16 is opened to communicate the hydrogen passage to the reservoir 17, whereupon the pressure drops rapidly to allow the hood 2 to be lifted by means of the returning force of balancer. |
