GENERAL PURPOSE OPTIMIZING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To verify and improve a result which has been calculated by a local optimizing device by bringing a two-dimensional cross section of the vicinity of a local optimum solution which has been calculated by an optimizing part or a result improving part, to graphic display by a result display part. CONSTITUTION:When an output result command is inputted, a result display part 4 executes a graphic display of a contour line of an objective function, a constraint condition, a search point, a search vector, etc. of a two-dimensional cross section which passes through one point and stretched by two vectors, or a two-dimensional cross section which passes through two points and stretched by one vector. A user inputs an improved point of a local optimum solution which has been calculated by an optimizing part 3, based on information which has been displayed on a display device 7. A control part 8 transfers information of the improve point which has been inputted, to a result improving part 5. The result improving part 5 calculates a coordinate of the improved point which has been inputted, on the two-dimensional cross section, an objective function value thereon, a constraint condition value, a gradient vector, etc., and improves the local optimum solution.
