Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To produce effectively monosilane with high catalytic efficiency by disproportionating alkoxysilane in the presence of a specified catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A disproportionation reaction of alkoxysilane expressed by the formula (wherein R is 1-6C alkyl or cycloalkyl; n is 1-3) and obtd. by the reaction of metallic Si with an alcohol, is caused by adding 0.001-50wt.% aromatic alkoxide expressed by MOAr [wherein M is a metal of the group Ia of the periodic table; Ar is a substituted or nonsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group], as catalyst, at 30-80 deg.C under normal pressure in an aprotic solvent (e.g. N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone).
