ELECTROMECHANICAL PRESSURE GOVERNOR FOR SLIP CONTROLLER AT TIME OF ANTISKID-DRIVE

PURPOSE: To use a pressure modulator for an anti-skid control device also for slip control operation at driving by moving a modulation piston to the first chamber side by an electric motor to reduce pressure of the second chamber, and moving it to the second chamber side to apply effective braking pressure into a wheel brake cylinder. CONSTITUTION: In this pressure modulator 100, a first chamber 4 is communicated to a multi-circuit type master cylinder 1, and a second chamber 13 is communicated to a wheel brake cylinder 2, and when oil pressure is applied to the shoulder part 12 of a modulation piston 8, or the modulation piston 8 is moved on the second chamber 13 side by an electric motor 20, ordinary braking operation and the braking operation of slip control at driving are made possible. Meanwhile, when the modulation piston 8 is moved on the first chamber 4 side by the electric motor 20, pressure in the second chamber 13 is reduced to perform anti-skid control. In this way, this electromechanical pressure modulator for an anti-skid control device can be used also for slip control operation at driving.
