MANUFACTURE OF FLOATING MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To use glass superior in moisture resistance for sealing glass by forming a slit equivalent to the thickness of a core chip on the sealing glass, and fixing the core chip by softening the sealing glass after the core chip is inserted. CONSTITUTION:The sealing glass 14 is filled in the slit 13 of a slider 1, and then, the slit 16 equivalent to the thickness of the core chip 9 is formed in said glass 14, and the core chip 9 is inserted into this slit 16, and the slider is heated. Accordingly, even by the viscosity of range scarcely giving fluidity to the glass, the core chip can be sufficiently fixed in the slit. Thus, the sealing glass of a comparatively high softening point comes to be used, and the sealing glass superior in the moisture resistance can be used.
