TELEVISION SIGNAL SENDING DEVICE AND RECEIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To multiplex a high quality digital voice while compatibility is kept for a current television broadcasting system and an existing television receiver by frequency-multiplexing the double modulated voice sub-carrier of the output of a digital modulating means with a residual side wave band modulated video carrier by a video signal and sending it. CONSTITUTION:A digital voice transmission having compatibility completely for an existing television receiver can be executed by executing a multi value ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) modulation of an FM voice sub-carrier further by a digital signal. Namely' first, the voice sub-carrier is frequency modulated by a sound signal at a transmitting side. On the other hand, the sound signal is converted to the digital signal by an encoding means 3 and by the digital signal, the FM voice sub-carrier is multi-value ASK modulated with a means 11. Thus, the double modulated FM-ASK sub-carrier is frequency-multiplexed with the video carrier residual side wave band modulated (VSB modulated) by the video signal and sent.
