Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To realize a device which is possible to performs an input at high speed by composing the device by including the part of speech dictionary composed of the pair of a KANJI (Chinese character) character string and part of speech information and the dictionary according to input systems composed of the pair of a parameter character string and the designator designating the number of the pair. CONSTITUTION: The input parameter character string composed of plural inputted Chinese compound word delimitations is stored in an input storage device 1. After a KANJI conversion dictionary retrieval circuit 2 is driven at the time of a conversion request, that is, the time of termination of the input of an input parameter character string, the input system of the input parameter character string of each Chinese compound word delimitation is decided by an input system deciding device 3 and a dictionary 4 according to input systems is retrieved, a KANJI character string and part of speech information are obtained by a part of speech dictionary 5. These information are stored in a KANJI character string candidate storage device 6. Next, the information is collated with a grammar dictionary storage device 8 based on the information stored in the device 6 in a grammar dictionary retrieval circuit 7. Based on the part of speech information, the pair of the most probable KANJI character strings having the possibility of forming as a sentence are extracted and are stored in a conversion result storage device 9.
