Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To recrystallize and refine surface structure and to prevent micro crack on the surface of a cast slab by once rapidly cooling the cast slab just after continuously casting from austenite holding range and successively recovering the heat. CONSTITUTION:The carbon steel high temp. cast slab cut to the prescribed length after continuous casting, is once rapidly cooled to =700 deg.C higher than the Ac3 point by heat condition at high temp. in inner part of the cast slab. By this method, the structure can be recrystallized and refined and the micro crack on the surface of the cast slab can be prevented.
