EXAMPLE:trans-2(R)-Phenyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-5-acet amide. USE:A brain function ameliorator. PREPARATION:For example, the reaction of a carboxylic acid derivative of formula II with an amine of formula III, or the reaction of a compound of formula IV with a carboxylic acid derivative of formula V gives the compound of formula I.
