Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance sinterability, purity and strength by mixing aluminosilicate sol with Mg(OH)2 sol, converting the mixture into gel and calcining the gel. CONSTITUTION:An org. or inorg. acid is added to water contg. dispersed boehmite, peptization is carried out at >=50 deg.C under ordinary pressure and the resulting pseudo-boehmite sol is mixed with silica sol and adjusted to 2-3pH to prepare aluminosilicate sol (A). An internal gelling agent such as hexamethylenetetramine is added to water contg. a dispersed magnesium salt such as MgCl2 and hydrolysis is carried out to prepare an Mg(OH)2 sol (B). The sol A is mixed with the sol B, adjusted to 2-3pH and converted into gel. This gel is dried, pulverized and calcined at 1,200-1,450 deg.C.
