Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To perform desalting of a biomaterial in high rate of recovery and high yield of activity by performing electrodialysis after adding a coexisting material which retards adsorption of an aimed material to an ion exchange membrane or stabilizes the aimed material to an object liquid contg. said aimed biomaterial. CONSTITUTION:A biomaterial such as enzyme, immune body, etc., is purified by extraction usually with an aq. soln. In this case, mixing of salt such as NaCl, phosphate, etc., into the aq. soln. is often caused. In order to remove said salt, the soln. is subjected to electrodialysis after adding a coexisting material for retarding the adsorption of the biomaterial to an ion exchange membrane or for stabilizing said biomaterial, to the aq. soln. Suitable coexisting material is one which can be easily separated from the aq. soln. if it is necessary to be separated after desalting, or one having no interaction for eliminating the activity of the target biomaterial. The electrodialysis is performed similarly as a conventional electrodialysis, in an electrodialysis cell contg. an anion exchange membrane and a cation exchange membrane alternately between electrodes. |
