Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the buckling of a strip in a continuous sheet-passing line by providing linear motors to the inlet side, etc., of laying a strip on sheet- passing rolls and applying electromagnetic force in the prescribed direction to the strip. CONSTITUTION:Linear motors 4 are provided on the inlet side of laying a strip on sheet-passing rolls 2 or on the inlet side and outlet side of laying the strip. By means of the above motors 4, electromagnetic force in a direction from the central part of the width of a strip 1 toward the ends is applied, by which a thrust removing compressive stress exceeding the buckling stress of the strip 1 can be provided.
