Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve reliability by monitoring a continuous free area in a virtual space, and performing the regeneration of the virtual space. CONSTITUTION:A job start processing part 121 secures the continuous free space used by a batch job 100 in the virtual space 30 by starting up a job processor 10, and makes access via a memory controller 20, and executes a series of processings. A continuous free area monitoring part 123 finds the maximum continuous free area in the space 30 by information from a job completion processing part 122 based on the content of a free area managing area 21, and compares it with the maximum value required for the job, and decides the generation of fragmentation. When the free area in the space 30 is small, the monitoring part 123 performs the regeneration by starting up a virtual space generating part 11. In other words, the operation of a control part 12 is stopped transiently, and after that, the control part 12 is re-started up. Meanwhile, when the free area in the space 30 is large, it is assumed that no fragmentation is generated, and the monitoring part 123 delivers control to the processing part 121 immediately. Thereby, since the fragmentation between the virtual spaces can be dissolved automatically, the reliability can be improved.
