GARBAGE TREATING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable a simple device to supply an incinerator with sufficient air and make microwave radiation distributed evenly inside it by installing a fan having rotary blades of metal in an incinerator equipped with a magnetron for microwave radiation and by opening air suction holes in the side wall. CONSTITUTION:An opening 4 is formed in one side wall of an incinerator and a waveguide 5 is fixed with its open end to the wall. A magnetron 6 is attached to the waveguide at the closed end side and its antenna is protruded into the waveguide 5. The opening 4 is provided with a microwave-transmitting gas- shielding plate 7 in order to prevent the gas generated during combustion from entering the waveguide 5. To the side wall opposite to the one having the opening 4 a fan 13 consisting of a motor 12 and rotary blades 11 of metal is attached and in the wall at positions close to the fan a plurality of air suction holes 10 are opened. At an upstream position in the exhaust duct 9 a metal net 8 is provided as a means of preventing the microwave radiation from leaking out of the incinerator through the exhaust duct 9. The gas produced from the garbage can further be made odorless and smokeless by the use of a catalyst in the exhaust duct 9.
