PURPOSE:To alter a timing by means of a program, to eliminate the alteration of hardware and to improve the efficiency of a timing alteration operation by changing the output of an incorporated storage circuit by means of a command from an external part. CONSTITUTION:A title semiconductor consists of a control circuit (a) receiving the command from the external part, the storage circuit (b) storing the timing characteristic of a pulse, and alteration circuits (c), and (d) altering the timing. A timing characteristic pattern in the storage circuit (b) is altered with the alteration of external designation, and the patterns of the alteration circuits (c) and (d) are changed by the decode output so as to alter the output timing. Thus, an external designation circuit is given and the reception of the command by program alteration from a user is attained, whereby the storage circuit (b) is given as the setting method of the timing characteristic so as to attain general purpose.
