Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the sheet feeding accuracy and to eliminate uneven feeding by providing a sheet feeding means capable of fine feeding smaller than the resolution of a recording head and forming a tale between the mechanical error of the sheet feeding quantity and the driven angle of a motor at each position of the sheet feeding means in advance and storing the table. CONSTITUTION:A sheet feed quantity table 21 is a table in which the actual sheet feeding quantity corresponding to one step of a sheet feeding motor 12 is measured and the mechanical error of the sheet feeding quantity of each operating position of the sheet feed mechanism is tabulated by using the driven angle of the feeding roller 1 as a parameter. In case of sheet feeding during recording, since the reference position of the sheet feed roller 1 is known in advance, the motor drive angle to be corrected by the sheet feed is calculated immediately by the sheet feed table 21 and the sheet feed roller 1 is driven in response to the calculated value. Thus, the production of white or black stripes due to uneven feeding being a problem in case of image print especially is avoided.
