EQUIPMENT FOR ROLLING TAPER ROD

PURPOSE:To move a blank to its starting position from completing position even if the kaliber of a rolling roll is in a spiral groove shape and to form numerous taper rods by making the interval in the diameter direction of both rolling rolls freely changeably and positioning a rolling blank in the roll axial direction by a guide body. CONSTITUTION:A taper rod 1 is first rolled in a flat sectional shape and is formed in the taper rod 1 by a main device by the rolling of a 2nd stage. In case of forming the taper rod 1 by passing a rolling blank through a kaliber 15 between both rolling rolls 8, 9, the variation in the roll axial directional position of the spiral kaliber 15 accompanied by the rotation of the rolling rolls 8, 9 is moved in the roll axial direction from the rolling start position of the kaliber 15 and faced to the rolling completion position of the kaliber 15. When reaching to the rolling completion position, the interval in the diameter direction of both rolling rolls 8, 9 is changed to the interval that the blank can be moved in the axial direction, made a rolling start position by moving the blank in the roll axial direction by the guide body thereafter and the rolling is continuously executed. Numerous taper rods can thus be formed in succession from a simple blank.
