CHARACTER READER

PURPOSE:To speed up the recognizing processing of a character by transmitting a character pattern to recognize next from control to a recognizing part whose processing is ended among the plural recognizing parts. CONSTITUTION:When a character recognizing processing is executed in parallel at respective recognizing parts 5 and the recognizing processing is ended at the certain recognizing part 5, the effect is reported to a connecting condition judging part 3 by a connecting condition signal line 6. The connecting condition judging part 3 reports the end of the recognizing processing in the recognizing part 5 to a main control part 2 through a control line 7. When the main control part 2 receives the end report, the assigning address of the recognizing part and one character pattern on a character pattern line 12 are set on an address/ data bus 11 in order. Thus, since the recognizing part in a processable condition is made to execute the recognizing processing of the next character pattern, the recognizing processing can be made high speed.
