Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To enhance the measurement accuracy of a fiber bundle without affecting this measurement by a disturbance element by constituting the apparatus for production of bar-shaped articles for tobacco processing industry in such a manner that the measured value (tensile resistance value) of the fiber bundle is corrected by the measured value of the belt thickness of a garniture belt. CONSTITUTION: The following constitution is added to the process for producing the bar-shaped articles for tobacco processing industry of a system to form the fiber bundle 1, to gradually compress the fiber bundle 1 to a finished fiber bundle section, to guide the fiber bundle by the garniture belt 11 and to measure the fiber bundle (a tensile resistance measuring instrument 6) at this time. The belt thickness of the garniture belt 11 is continuously measured (belt thickness measuring instrument 22) and the measurement signal obtd. at time of the fiber bundle measurement is corrected dependently upon the changing thickness of the garniture belt 11.
