RESISTANCE WELDING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To stabilize joining strength of a weld zone by interposing a pressing compensation means between a pressuring cylinder and electrodes with respect to excessive deformation on the weld zone at the time of applying a current. CONSTITUTION:The height of the electrodes 1 and l' is set at the prescribed position by an action of an air cylinder 19 for lifting and material 30 to be welded is pressed by the prescribed force by air cylinders 10 and 10'. The voltage is then impressed between the electrodes 1 and 1' to perform welding. At this time, although the weld zone of the material 30 to be welded is subjected to plastic deformation excessively by the pressure and heat generation, a compression spring 11 always energizes an electrode holding plate 3 and the electrode 1 follows it in a moment and pressing against the material 30 to be welded is maintained. By this method, the joining strength on the weld zone can be stabilized.
