WRITING METHOD FOR SERVO TRACK OF DISK DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a producing equipment by recording signals to a servo face once to plural disks by the use of a servo track recorder and respectively incorporating to other disk device to have a reference for a positioning control. CONSTITUTION:A servo track writing spindle 2 has a determined position relation to a writing head positioning mechanism 6 fixed to a prescribed position on a servo track writer 4. Respective writing heads 5 are previously mounted on the positioning mechanism 6 so as to have the prescribed position relation to the spindle 2. Accordingly, on all the disks incorporated in the writing spindle 2, the servo tracks are simultaneously written at the same position by the writing heads 5 sequentially positioned at the prescribed positions. When the servo disks 1 in which the writing is completed are incorporated to respective devices, the writing of the servo tracks of the plural devices is simultaneously completed. Thereby, the cost required for the equipment can be reduced.
