PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To realize high-speed operation by providing a register which holds data memory addresses at which a sequence execution controlling section can fetch arithmetic data from an operand section when the controlling section fetches an instruction from a program memory. CONSTITUTION:A programmable controller is constituted of a program memory 10, data memory 11, sequence executing section 12, and pipe-line register 13 which is a holding register. When the section 12 fetches an instruction from the memory 10, the register 13 fetches arithmetic data from the memory 11 by using an operand section as the address of the memory 11. Therefore, fetching of the next instruction and execution of the current instruction can be performed simultaneously by simultaneously fetching the instruction of the memory 10 and arithmetic data of the memory 11. Accordingly, the sequence instruction can be calculated at a high speed by reducing the loss time.
