MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To control the rotation of a cylinder by detecting information and to prevent a magnetic tape from being wound by providing a circuit to detect abnormality in the rotation a reel board, and detecting the abnormality at a time when the winding of the tape due to the abnormality of the rotation of the reel board begins. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic tape 9 of a magnetic recording and reproducing device is wound on the rotary cylinder 13, the rotation of a supply side reel board 8 is accelerated by being pulley by the tape 9. When the rotating speed of the reel board 8 exceeds a preset value, an abnormality detecting part 7 detects the generation of the abnormality, and informs the fact to a system control part 1. The control part 1 receiving the information indicates a winding processing to a mechanism control part 2. And the control part 2 receiving the instruction indicates the stoppage of the rotation of the rotary cylinder 13 to a cylinder block 5, and a series of processings to eject a cassette half such as tape winding, etc., to a block 4 of the reel board.
