ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC LIQUID DEVELOPER

PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity of a developer and quality of picture images provided by the developer and to retard deterioration of developing capacity of the developer by incorporating a specified titanate type coupling agent into the developer compsn. CONSTITUTION:The title negatively chargeable developer contains an electrically insulative nonpolar liquid (A), resin particles (B) or pigment particles (C), and a binder resin soluble in the component (A), as primary components, further, a titanate type coupling agent soluble in the component (A) and expressed by the formula is also contained. In the formula, RO is an alkoxy group; (m) is 1-3; X is phosphate group, carboxylate group, etc.; R is a 7-17C aliphatic hydrocarbon, etc.; (n) is 2-3. Isopropyl triisostearoyl titanate, etc., may be used as a titanate type coupling agent. The component (B) is preferred to be a resin which is insoluble in the component (A) and contains halogen. The component (C) is preferred to be an organic pigment contg. >=one halogen atom per one molecule.
