Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide sufficient time for returning paper by a reversal roller and thereby make possible stable paper supply by detecting double feed by using a sensor and stopping a feed roller for a specified time. CONSTITUTION:The drive of a feed roller 21 for a separator part is stopped for a specified time, if double feed is detected by a light transmission sensor 5. A single piece of paper at the top remains in the separator part by mu1, while a reversal roller 22 starts rotating clockwise via a torque limiter 23 by mu4>mu2 and returns the paper which is double-fed to a hopper part side. If only one piece of paper is left, the reversal roller 22 also stops following the feed roller 21 by mu1>mu3>mu4. The feed roller 21 stops for a specified time set by a timer and again is driven to send only one piece of paper which remains in the separator part. Therefore, there is no possibility that two pieces or more of paper might be fed at the same time.
