Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To easily obtain strong joining between a ceramic and an aluminum alloy by forming a constricted portion which projects out toward an outer peripheral portion on the specified place of a ceramic-made member and casting the constricted portion into an aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic-made member 5 having a cavity portion 2 while also having a constricted portion 4 which projects out toward an outer periphery on the lower portion on the opposite face to a piston top face 3, is cast into an aluminum alloy forming a piston 1 having the ceramic-made member 5 and a piston body 6 made of the aluminum alloy. That is, the whole of a cavity portion 2 is formed with a ceramic. The constricted portion 4 is provided over the whole periphery on the lower portion of the ceramic-made member 5. Thereby, deformation which is generated based on differential thermal expansion in a cooling process can be effectively utilized to strongly join the ceramic-made member 5 to the piston body 6.
