SYSTEM FOR MAKING SLIDE GLASS FOR MICROSCOPES

PURPOSE:To automatically and efficiently mass-produce the title glass in low costs, by feeding a large size glass pane into the rough cutter to form a plurality of scratch lines, then sending it in turn to the rough cutter, the frosting machine, the long side grinder, washer and drier and so on for processing. CONSTITUTION:A large-size pane A is fed to a rough cutter B to form a plurality of scratch lines a' and cut off the side edges, then sent to the rough breaker C where the pane is broken with rollers into a plurality of glass bands a''. The glass bands a'' are frosted on their prescribed surface, then ground on both edge faces in the long side grinder E. The ground products are sent to the washer and drier F where they are washed and dried, and conveyed to the fine cutter G. The glass bands are scratched to form a plurality of parallel cutting lines with the cutter, then sent to the fine breaker H where the glass bands are broken in turn into small glass pieces a'''. The prescribed sheets of glass pieces are stacked into a block and the block is ground on their both long sides with the long-side grinder I, then beveled with the machine J.
