Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To eliminate a special device for ignition and to enable reduction of a cost in terms of both manufacture and operation, by simple constitution in which a fuel gas feed part and an air feed part are situated in the middle of a gas-air-fuel mixture feed passage running to a catalyst combustion part. CONSTITUTION:A fuel gas part 5 and an air feed part 6 are mounted on the upper stream side of a burner 4 located in the middle of a gas-air-fuel mixture feed part 3 running to a catalyst combustion part 2. With an ignition plug 9 ignited, gas-air-fuel mixture is burnt by a burner 4 to generate high temperature combustion gas. The combustion gas flows toward the downstream side to a catalyst combustion part 2. After the combustion gas heats the catalyst combustion part 2, it flows to the outside. Combustion in the burner 4 is continued as it is, and when the catalyst combustion part 2 is heated to a sufficiently high temperature, the feed of fuel gas is stopped. Thereafter, the feed of fuel gas is restarted, and when the ignition plug 9 is left unignited at this time, gas-air-fuel mixture flowing to the catalyst combustion part 2 is burnt therein to generate high temperature combustion gas. |
