Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve resolution by forming end surfaces of fibers in an incidence surface at right angles to optical axes, and slanting end surfaces of the optical fibers in a projection surface to the optical axes. CONSTITUTION:The image incidence surface 2 is constituted by laminating and arraying the fibers 1 longitudinally and laterally without any gap. The image projection surface 3 has a constant enlargement ratio by cutting the end surfaces at a certain tilt angle theta to the optical fiber axes, and spacers 4 are inserted among multifilament type plastic fiber arrays suitably to a lateral or longitudinal enlargement ratio to match the pitch. The multifilament type optical fibers 1 are 5-200mum in the thickness of optical transmission island part section and smaller than monofilament type optical fibers which are used normally. Consequently, the resolving power of image transmission is superior and the quality of an image display is improved.
