Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and to improve thermal radiation performance and motor performance, by employing a porous metal as the material of armature core. CONSTITUTION:An armature core 21 is constructed such that thin plate core chips 3 are laminated and coupled through a pin section 25 to form a slot extending in the axial direction for inserting a conductive wire 5, and rotated in a field produced through a magnet 6. The core chips 3 are made of porous metal, such as form metal or sintered metal having high porosity. Since the core chips 3 are made of porous metal, the weight of the armature core 21 can be reduced considerably, and since the contact area with the air increases, thermal radiation performance is improved and results in the improvement of motor efficiency.
