METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECORDING INFORMATION,RECORDING CARRIER AND RECORDED INFORMATION READER

PURPOSE: To obtain a higher information density to a record carrier, to hold sure reading from the record carrier and to record the information signal by making the bit number of the second logical value a code word subordinate type and converting a continuous value of information word into a code word, the logical value of which is different by only one bit. CONSTITUTION: A preformed track pattern is formed into a spiral groove in a substrate 5, this substrate 5 is coated with a radiation sensing layer 6, and the layer 6 is heated with a radiation beam. Also, optical reading/writing of the track 4 with the radiation beam 46 is performed with scanning by a reading and writing head 47, and a writing circuit 48 and reading circuit 55 are connected to the head 47.
