STRUCTURE FOR JOINING REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN WITH STEEL GIRDER

PURPOSE:To transmit stresses effectively and positively between a column and a girder by embedding joint fittings in a reinforced concrete column, and thereby joining the column with the girder by way of the joint fittings. CONSTITUTION:Joint fittings 2 and 3 in a closed cross sectional form which allow a girder to be joined with the joining section of a reinforced concrete column 1 are fixed onto each main bar 5 of the column 1 while being embedded in concrete. Two each of bolts 8 and 8 are projected from the four side surfaces of the joint fittings 2 and 3. And joint is made by fastening the upper and lower flanges 4a of the steel girder 4, and web 4b of the steel girder 4 with the girder joint fitting 2 and with the girder joint fitting 3 respectively by bolts.
