HEAT GENERATOR

PURPOSE:To provide a heat generator continuing the generation of heat for a long time, reduced in a lowering of temp. even if exposed to cold air and capable of being used comfortably, by forming a receiving part of a heat generating composition based on a metal powder and generating heat upon the contact with air into an almost spherical shape. CONSTITUTION:A heat generating composition 2 based on an iron component is packed in a circular film 1 having air permeability so as to become an almost spherical shape and the periphery of the film 1 is bundled at one place while the bundled part is tied by a string to form a coin pouch-shape spherical heat generator. The heat generating composition to be used generates heat upon the contact with air and, for example, said composition is based on a metal powder composed of iron or aluminum and further contains a water retaining material, an oxidation promoter and water. The heat generator is almost spherical and air necessary for generating heat is efficiently supplied to the central part and, since this heat generator is low in the transpiration of moisture as compared with a conventional flat one, a heat generating time is extremely long.
