Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a brake liquid pressure controller by constituting the controller such that reduced pressure returning from a wheel cylinder, when the pressure is reduced through anti-lock control, is pressurized through a liquid pressure pump and led into the back pressure chamber of a liquid pressure control valve arranged in a brake liquid pressure supply/return path, thereby eliminating an accumulator. CONSTITUTION:In a system where brake liquid pressure is fed from a master cylinder M/C through a liquid pressure control valve 20 to wheel cylinders W/C for front and rear wheels, a stepped piston 22 is fitted in the body housing 21 of the liquid pressure control valve 20 thus defining a liquid pressure chamber I in longitudinally central section and a back pressure chamber II at the left end section. Both chambers I, II can be communicated each other through a throttle section 226 and a check valve 25. A liquid pressure return path B is led out from the wheel cylinder W/C and jointed to the back pressure chamber II. A direction changeover valve 4 is arranged in the return path B with the downstream side thereof being jointed to a reservoir 5, and a liquid pressure pump 6 is arranged in the return path B in the downstream of the direction changeover valve 4.
