CUTTING AND HOLDING DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY PAID-OFF YARN

PURPOSE:To have automatic yarn supply safely by furnishing a retaining tool to pinch the cut yarn interlocked with a cutting edge on the upper side of cutting direction. CONSTITUTION:A receiver edge 50 is fixed to the front edge of a table 51 in yarn moving direction, while a cutting edge 53 to a cross frame 55a on the tip side of a swinging frame 55 pivoted by a shaft 54 on the sides of the table 51. An air yarn supply device E is fixed to the upper side of the receiver edge, wherein the air yarn supply device E has a plurality of parallel lead-in holes 57, which are in communication with a pipe 58 for pressure fitting of compressed air. When a cutter device D is actuated, the cutting edge 53 cuts the yarn in cooperation with the receiver edge 50, and at the same time, the upper side end part of the yarn with the retainer 56 cut is put in pressure contact with the table 51 and pinched. After the table 51 is rotated to change the yarn supply position, the swinging frame 55 is rotated while compressed air is fed from the pipe 58 followed by release of pinching, and now the yarn is supplied to the set position upon passing through guide pipe.
