FILM CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To remarkably enhance a firing potential between adjacent electrodes for capacitance extraction use by a method wherein an electric resistance value at an end edge part where a first electrode and a second electrode, for capacitance extraction use, which are adjacent at a prescribed interval is formed to be higher than an electric resistance value of a main part of the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:First two or more electrodes 12-14 for capacitance extraction use which are extended in the longitudinal direction at a prescribed interval one one face in the width direction are formed on a long film 11. In a second long film 16, second electrodes 17-20 for capacitance extraction use are formed in the same manner. Because end edge parts 12a-14a, 17a-20a are thinner than main parts of the electrodes, an electric resistance value in the end edge parts is higher than that in the main parts of the electrodes. Accordingly, an electric discharge is hard to generate between the adjacent electrodes 12-14, 17-20 on the films 11, 16; it is possible to realize a film capacitor with higher breakdown strength when the films are piled up in the arrow direction and wound.
