IMAGE COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To surely make a callback by providing a means detecting the presence of a reply to a telephone call and a means informing the presence of a telephone call to the operator based on a no reply detection signal from a reply detection means to the equipment. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming call of a call signal is received from a sender facsimile equipment (corresponding to upper stage in figure), a called facsimile equipment (corresponding to lower stage in figure) sends a called station identification signal (CED) and a digital identification signal (DIS) to the sender facsimile equipment. The sender facsimile equipment sends a digital instruction signal (DOS) and a training check (TCF) to the called facsimile equipment based on the reception and the called facsimile equipment based on the reception of the signals sends a reception preparation acknowledge signal (CFR) to the sender facsimile equipment. After the receipt of the CFR from the called facsimile equipment, the sender facsimile equipment sends a message to the called facsimile equipment. The message is sent to a MODEM 6, where it is demodulated and outputted in a form of a hard copy.
