Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To join a steel cord belt and a canvas belt by collecting the edges on one side of the reed screen shaped cords in each collection of cords and overlapping the collection between the steel cords of the steel cord belt and step-splicing or overlapping the other edges between the canvas of the canvas belt in reed screen form. CONSTITUTION:The edge part of a steel cord belt 1 whose rubber layer is exfoliated and the edge part of a canvas belt 2 are butt-joined, and an intermediate belt 3 is inserted. On the steel cord belt 1 side, a plurality of cords 8a in reed screen-shaped cords 8 are united and overlapped between the contiguous steel cords 4 and 4, and on the canvas belt 2 side, the canvas 6 of the canvas belt 2 and the canvas 9 of the intermediate belt 3 are step-spliced or overlapped. Then, the unvulcanized rubber is supplied to the part where the rubber layer is exfoliated, and formed integrally and vulcanized, and joint work is completed.
